Hydrogenation

Hydrogenation is a chemical reaction that adds hydrogen to a substrate that may be a chemical element or compound, usually with a catalyst, in heterogeneous or homogeneous phase. Most hydrogenation processes use molecular hydrogen (H2), which may come from various sources (delivered in compressed form to the workplace or self-produced).

The extensive experience in the production, transport, handling and use of hydrogen that SOL has built up over the years means it can guarantee completely safe use of the plant: the availability of means of transport, plant, apparatus, specialised personnel and certified stockage and usage protocols that SOL offers its customers are an integral part of its gas supply offer, and make it possible to control the hydrogenation process effectively, rapidly and safely.
